Major Gift Prospect Research and List Development

We enable you to focus your efforts on prospects—and their friends and associates—who share your values and can financially support the goals of your organization. With a custom-researched profile, you can:

  • Evaluate your existing donors to identify major gift prospects and enhance your major gift program
  • Estimate your prospects’ giving capacity with relevant and up-to-date information
  • Access information not available for free on the Internet

To be highly successful, cost effective and productive, fundraising and major gift donation programs need to be targeted to the right prospects. By understanding the giving capacity of prospective donors—through financial and biographical research—InfoRich Group can help you identify the best gift amount to ask for—and whether that prospect’s friends and associates also can be part of your fundraising efforts.

We take the labor-intensive burden from your in-house staff, reduce the time consumption required to vet your donors and research, and create and analyze a major gifts prospect list that allows you to direct your campaigns to the right people.

We offer a variety of profiles to meet your needs and your budget. Our profiles are extensive—not expensive!

An important note about profiles

All profiles are custom researched for you, our client. We maintain confidentiality and abide by the "Donor's Bill of Rights" and the "Code of Ethical Principals and Standards of Professional Practice" established by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (formerly the National Society of Fund Raising Executives) and the code of ethics developed by the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement.

Only publicly available information is used to prepare our profiles. Although we use state-of-the-art technology and services to develop each profile, some individuals are extremely private and there is less public information available about them.

Every prospect is different which means that every profile will be different!

Individual Profiles
Custom researched for you, these profiles include biographical, brief employment history, professional affiliations, known philanthropy, and information regarding net worth on an individual.  Request sample profiles
There are several levels of individual profiles available:

  • Full Profile
Full profiles are custom researched for you and are very comprehensive. They contain biographical, employment history, family summaries, professional affiliations, political contributions, known philanthropy, stock and real estate holdings along with other information indicating net worth.
  • Mini-Profile
A cost-effective way to gather prospect information, the mini-profile is perfect if you don't need all the information contained in a Full Profile. Mini-Profiles are custom researched and include brief biographical, employment history, professional affiliations, and information regarding net worth.
  • Asset Profile
Asset profiles are great when you know a lot about your prospect, but need addition information to help determine giving levels. These profiles only contain information on real estate holdings, stock holdings (if they are an owner (owning 105 or more of the outstanding shares) or officer of a publicly traded company), aircraft and watercraft ownership.
  • Philanthropy Reports
Past donor philanthropy is often difficult to obtain. Our philanthropy reports contain Federal election campaign contributions, previous gifts to other institutions, and private foundation affiliations.

Corporate Profiles
Corporate Profiles are custom researched for you and include contact information, a list of the Board of Directors, executive management, financial overview, giving preferences, and grant application guidelines.

Foundation Profiles
Foundation Profiles are custom researched for you and include a list of the Board of Directors, executive management contact information, foundation resources, giving preferences, and grant application guidelines.
